National Apprenticeship Week 2022
This week (7th February 2022 – 11th February 2022) is National Apprenticeship Week in the UK. This week we are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week with our apprentices, sharing their experience of being an apprentice and why they choose to go down this route.
If you are thinking about taking on an apprentice or are looking for the next step after high school or college, have a read of what our apprentice has to say.
As many apprentices, they will probably be sharing the experience of watching all their friends go to university and seemingly party endlessly and enjoying a more “carpe diem” lifestyle. However, to say that I have never had any desire to follow my friends into the education world, would be a complete lie.
Nonetheless, I genuinely believe that if I didn’t have my opportunity with Amplo, I would be currently waking up at 1pm to catch up on coursework. They have both generated a lifestyle and a warm feeling in my heart every time I enter these office walls. As every member of staff radiates momentous energy which certifies my choice to become an apprentice that I would choose day and night over any party.
As not only am I learning more than I ever did in College and High School, the feeling of being accepted by the Amplo team is invaluable.
I hope to replicate this feeling for every member of staff through hard work and the capability to be myself. No pompous, excessive paragraph which lacks humility or actual meaning. But a genuine removal of the façade, and a depiction of pure honesty.
And that is the value of an apprenticeship, the confidence to speak your opinion, the experience to have an efficient career path and the heart to want to help the company grow.”
